ToyotaCare: Free Maintenance Program for New Vehicles

ToyotaCare is a service that provides maintenance and emergency services for many new Toyota models. The program is 100% free, and it lasts for 25,000 miles or two years, whichever you reach first.

The maintenance program covers routine oil and filter change. Changing the oil is one way to keep the engine running smoothly. The tires will be rotated. Rotating tires means the tread will wear evenly, and the tires will have a longer life. The service technicians will do a multi-point inspection on the car, and they will top off the fluids.

Car Buying Guide: What is the Differential?

Older vehicles did not have a differential. However, newer cars have one or even two differentials that help move your vehicle's wheels. If you have all wheel drive, then you likely have both.

Upgrading your car differential can mean that you turn your car from a FWD or RWD into a full AWD.

Why do Metallic Pads Stop Vehicles so Well?

Brake pads are vital components in the braking system chain. Located on the rotors, which are metallic discs mounted to the wheel, brake pads work in concert with the rotors to stop your car on-demand.

Brake pad varieties include sintered, ceramic, and organic. Sintered pads are composed of tiny particles of metal fused together under pressure and high temperatures. Because sintered pads include significant amounts of metal in their constructions, they are known to do good jobs of stopping vehicles under tough condition.

Take Stock of the Differences Between Four-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive

When 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive drivetrain definitions come up in casual conversation, many people just treat these definitions as the same thing. However, even though they operate in a similar manner, they are used for different vehicles and different purposes.

The all-wheel drive system uses a steady source of power to each wheel with an additional special torque feature that will send more power to a wheel individually depending on the road conditions. This type of setup is found in crossovers, sedans and high-performance vehicles.
